Heavy rain triggered a landslide which has buried over 100 people as rocks and debris covered 60 homes in Xinmo, a remote village in north Sichuan. The landslide slid half a mile covering parts of the village and blocking a 2km stretch of river. Although landslides are a regular occurrence in Sichuan province, officials say the scale of this disaster is unprecedented.
