Hurricane Matthew severely impacted the southern coast of Haiti on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. This is the worst storm Haiti has experienced in many years, and the damage to homes, crops, livestock and transportation is expected to be extensive.

The International Charter for Space and Major Disasters has been activated for this event, and Planet is assisting with the response to the Hurricane.

While we have yet to release post-event imagery, Planet has produced a recent (less than one-month-old) largely cloud-free mosaic of Haiti, which we will make freely available to qualified responding organizations. To enquire about accessing this or other Matthew-related imagery, please contact disaster-access@planet.com
