Planet Hosts Global Partner Summit in San Francisco

News

80 partners from over 20 countries around the world came to Planet San Francisco last month for Planet’s biggest event of the year: our annual Partner Summit. Attendees included GIS and geomatics businesses; innovative precision agriculture companies; and pioneering computer vision and machine learning companies.

Over the two-day conference, we met face-to-face with a range of partners that are developing new solutions on top of our data, or selling our data in unique markets. The entire Planet team learned more about the priorities, needs, and challenges facing our partners and their customer community.

The takeaway? The value for high cadence imagery is strong and growing—especially in commercial markets. Planet’s line of products derived from our growing constellation of satellites was well received by businesses in our key sectors—precision agriculture, defense, public safety, forestry services, state and local government sectors, and more.

It was a thrill to meet new and old faces in San Francisco. Without our worldwide partner community, we wouldn’t be able to get our data into the hands of those who need it most.
