The Federal Police of Brazil Uses Satellite Imagery to Combat Illicit Activities
Through our partners, Santiago & Cintra Consultoria (SCCON), Planet will provide rapidly updated satellite imagery under a 12-month contract to the Federal Police of Brazil and various agencies within Brazil’s government. Following two successful pilot projects, we are honored to expand our contribution under this new contract to equip the government with the geospatial information and tools they need to accurately and effectively monitor their lands.
We’re eager to see the results of this partnership as officials in Brazil use Planet’s data to tackle the country’s most pressing challenges, such as illegal mining, drug trafficking, deforestation, and much more.
