Exciting things are afoot at Planet as we dive into the second quarter of 2018. One big development is the arrival of two executives who will help Planet continue to grow as a business. Today, we’re happy to welcome Keith Barber as VP of Federal Strategic Partnerships and Hilary Salazar as VP of Product Marketing.
With over 30 years of government and private sector experience, Keith brings to Planet the business acumen, network, and strategic thinking to generate commercial solutions to support government users. Keith will be responsible for leading the US government team, driving revenue, and aligning product, sales, and marketing around government needs. He will report to Robbie Schingler, Chief Strategy Officer at Planet.
Keith was previously President of Quaestor Federal Consulting, where he consulted clients in the US Army and Office of the Secretary of Defense. Prior to that he was an agency lead and director at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. In his military career, Keith served as the Imagery Functional Manager for the US Navy in Director of Naval Intelligence (N2) on the Pentagon’s Navy Staff.
A seasoned product marketer with experience at top SaaS companies, Hilary will help Planet articulate and execute on our product vision. As VP of Product Marketing, she will lead go-to-market strategy for new products and platform services, global sales enablement, and campaign development and demand generation across verticals. She will report to Shawna Wolverton, Chief Product Officer at Planet.
Hilary was previously VP of Product Marketing at People.ai, a platform for AI-driven sales and marketing teams. Before that, she was Director of Product Marketing and Director of Sales Productivity at Box. At Salesforce, Hilary served as the Senior Product Marketing Manager for the Sales Cloud.
