TechAs announced earlier this year, Planet is once again partnering with Copernicus Masters, Europe’s leading innovation competition, to sponsor the See Change, Change the World challenge. The goal of the challenge is to find innovators interested in using Planet and Copernicus data to discover creative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues, from sustainable food systems, biodiversity, land use, urban farming, deforestation and more.
The 2019 winner of both Copernicus Masters and Planet’s See Change, Change the World challenge was Green City Watch, a geospatial AI firm specializing in urban ecological engineering. Today, we’re highlighting their work in the above video, which features the company’s co-founder and CEO, Nadinè Galle. She discusses how Planet data, in concert with other innovative technologies, has helped them to continue their mission of building greener, smarter cities.
