Program Participants

What it is

The geospatial and Earth observation-based analytics industry is growing rapidly. At Planet, we believe in the power of startups to unlock disruptive innovation. Planet’s Startup Program provides qualified organizations with discounted access to Planet data for R&D, product development, and prototyping purposes to help make global change visible, accessible and actionable.

Build on generous Planet data packages, including high-resolution and high-cadence imagery and Basemaps for up to one year.

Access onboarding, training, and technical support to build a proof of concept solution or service with Planet data.

Upon technical validation of solution, graduate into Planet partner program, where focus shifts to scale and commercialization.

WHO QUALIFIES FOR THE PLANET STARTUP PROGRAM?

Planet is looking for ambitious, mission-driven, high-impact startups. Planet will consider applicants that fall within these guidelines:

Founded less than 5 years ago
Less than 20 employees
Less than $1M in annual revenue
Pre Seed - Series A funding
Technical expertise to work with satellite remote sensing data
Aspiring to become a Planet partner

In EMEA, we have partnered with European Space Agency (ESA) to provide discounted access to Planet data for the ESA-supported startups and SMEs from ESA Business Innovation Centers (BICs), ESA Φ-lab and Incubed Programme, supporting their pre-commercial stage. In addition to data, Planet may provide technical, business and marketing support to select startups.
